What is a baby movie?
A baby movie is a special ultrasound examination during which we can observe the fetus’s facial features, body parts, and movements through 3D and 4D images and videos. With this technology, parents can feel even closer to their unborn child.
What does 4D mean?
4D ultrasound is a modern fetal examination method that displays a three-dimensional image in real-time. This means that the fetus is visible not only as a still image but also in motion, including its facial expressions and ongoing movements.
When is the ideal time for a baby movie?
The most ideal time is between the 25th and 30th week, as the fetus’s size is optimal for the recordings, and there is enough amniotic fluid surrounding the fetus, which helps in making the movements visible.
How long does the baby movie last?
At our clinic, the baby movie examination lasts about 20 minutes, but the duration can be influenced by the fetus’s position. If the fetus is in a good position, the recordings will be completed faster. However, if the fetus is in a less favorable position, more time may be required.
What happens if the fetus is not clearly visible?
It may happen that the fetus is sleeping or has its back turned toward the ultrasound probe. In such cases, we try to wake the fetus up or encourage movement using various techniques. For example, consuming a small amount of chocolate or taking a short walk before the examination may help.
What does the price of the baby movie include?
The price includes a 20-minute video recording of the baby. Additionally, we provide a printed photo as a gift.
The baby movie examinations are performed by our sonographer, Eszter Hozdik.
