First aid and accident prevention for newborns and young children

During this training, we will cover the most important aspects of basic newborn, baby and young child resuscitation. We will discuss foreign body obstructions of the airway as well as sudden infant death syndrome and its prevention. We will briefly discuss infant and childhood seizures, croup syndrome, asthma, poisoning, and shaken baby syndrome. We will also talk about burns, including prevention methods, degrees, and treatment.

The course begins with theoretical instructions, followed by a few review questions. Then, practical training with a lifelike demonstration doll shall commence (BLS, foreign body removal). Finally, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions. Upon completion of the training, participants will receive a certificate.

The training will be conducted by Annamária Hora, a health visitor with over 6 years of experience in intensive care units.
