It became clear very early on that I am most drawn towards obstetrics and gynaecology. More precisely, it became clear during the summer practice after my first university year. I took part in a childbirth and once the baby was born, I was so under the effect of what just happened, that I started crying.
I consider myself lucky that most of my days end in a way that feels good to think about. Every moment when we place the newborn on the mother’s chest, and I see how the mother relaxes, and every childbirth itself is a celebration of life, and this gives me immense strength. In reality, it is also an achievement, a source of adrenaline and joy, when I can identify and safely determine the issue in a gynaecological case. I like to be in the surgery room, where I work together with a tight-knit team, sometimes for hours on end. That kind of concentration is almost a form of meditation to me.
I have three core principles: continuous development of theoretical and practical knowledge, professional humility, and precision. These are my tenets. Furthermore, I would like to emphasize, that treating the patient as a partner is very important to me.
My husband is also a doctor, so it is not always easy to harmonize work with free time together, but when we can, we go hiking. It ss important for both of us to spend a lot of time in nature together with our two children. I grew up in Csíkszereda and I am quite infatuated with mountains. Sports and being active have always been important in my life, and I try to do some running on a regular basis. I recently began to play the piano again, and I love to read. I like to sneak in a novel or two during the afternoons spent with Duplo and walking around with the kids.
