ANNA CSERBÁK, M.D.

Neonatologist, mental hygienist

I received my medical degree at the Faculty of General Medicine at Semmelweis University, in 2003. I completed my specialist examination in anaesthesiology and intensive therapy in 2009, followed by neonatology in 2012.

From graduation until 2015, I worked in Budapest at the I. Paediatric Clinic, as well as in London. During this time, I worked as a paediatric anaesthesiologist in paediatric surgery rooms, as well as a resident physician in the neonatal and paediatric intensive care units, and the paediatric cardiology intensive care unit. In addition to these, I also worked as a medical professional for the London paediatric ambulance service. After this, I worked as the medical director for the Bátor Tábor Foundation between 2015 and 2017, where I participated in organizing therapeutic recreation camps for children with cancer and chronic illnesses, as well as their families. After a brief detour, I returned to neonatal care. I worked for two years at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Honvéd Hospital. Since 2019, I have been a neonatologist at Maternity Clinic’s newborn department.

In 2020, I obtained a second degree in Mental Health from the Faculty of Health Sciences at Semmelweis University, where I am currently serving as a teaching assistant in the programme.

In my work, I strive to ensure that families and children feel supported and safe on a professional and on a personal level, and to find solutions together to any problems that may arise.
