Obstetrician and gynecologist, pathologist specialist, forensic expert
Dr. Kálmán Gyula Szőcs is an obstetrician and gynaecologist, pathologist specialist and forensic medical expert. He graduated from Semmelweis University in 1981. He worked at the National Institute of Rheumatology and Physiotherapy, the II. Institute of Pathology of Semmelweis University of Medicine, the Szent János and MÁV Hospitals, then upon the establishment of the inpatient ward of the Maternity Clinic, he joined the team of Professor Zoltán Papp and Dr. Petronella Hupuczi.
In 1989–1990, I participated in a one-year postgraduate training programme in Germany in Leipzig, Erfurt, in the Netherlands in Nijmegen, in Greece in the university clinics of Athens, and in Davos, Switzerland.
For the past decade and a half, he has provided forensic medical expertise in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology, primarily upon request from courts and notaries, but provides private consultations. This includes consultation for patients and their legal representatives on claims related to perceived “malpractice”. His work assists in clarifying and reviewing any possible legal proceedings (including preliminary), utilizing his medical practice, legal knowledge, and broad perspective.
Dr. Kálmán Gyula Szőcs is a member of the Hungarian Medical Chamber, the Hungarian Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, the Hungarian Chamber of Judicial Experts, and the Hungarian Society for the Study of Obesity.
