After finishing the University of Debrecen Medical School, I began working at the I. Obstetrics and Gynaecology Clinic of Semmelweis University. The institution was in its heyday at the time while under the leadership of Professor Zoltán Papp, and I was immersed in a very serious think tank. We were the busiest obstetrics clinic in the country and so I gained a wealth of experience during the years I spent there, and my colleagues also had an inspiring effect on each other. We participated in numerous conferences and also organized many ourselves. A very intense scientific life took place there, and we developed into one of the most beautiful and best clinics in the university and the city, excelling in education, science, and healing. I believe that as a young doctor, the intellectual environment one finds themselves in is extremely important. I consider myself very lucky in this regard that I could begin working at the clinic on Baross street back in the day.

After Professor Zoltán Papp had retired, he established Maternity Private Clinic and I have been working here since then, striving to continue the work he began and established, as well as maintain it as an intellectual centre.

I love my profession because anaesthesia and intensive therapy require a broader perspective, a broader view of medicine and also quick decision-making. Obstetrics also requires quick reactions and is characterized by unexpected, acute situations and unpredictability. We receive immediate feedback on everything we do and are responsible for two lives in every moment. This is a constant challenge, one that I very much enjoy and love. I consider it an extremely exciting and beautiful task, and see it as very close to my heart.

I have met many married couples for whom maternity and birth had not worked out as they had hoped, and were faced with unexpected, unwanted events. Such pathological, high-risk pregnancies are at the centre of my scientific interest. Managing, treating, and caring for pregnancies of this kind is very close to me both from a personal and a professional perspective.

Naturally, I spend my free time with my family, I love to read and travel. Being active is also important to me and I exercise 4-5 times a week.
