In the practice of our profession, we experience many beautiful moments and success stories, one of the most obvious among them being the birth of a new life, with each time not only meaning success but also bringing about great joy. It is quite rewarding when we can provide solutions and reassurance to those who approach and place their trust in us. I think back fondly of, for instance, a patient who came in with myoma, completely distraught by the weight of previous medical opinions, all of which said she could not have a child, and yet she now has a beautiful and healthy daughter. I often meet with desperate, worried patients who come to me because of concerning findings or suspicious signs that were noticed during an ultrasound examination. It always feels very satisfying to reassure them, find solutions to their problems, and then accompany them through the happier moments.

I’m considered quite “diverse” within my profession, as I engage in many different things, and each of them is close to my heart, but perhaps surgical procedures, prenatal care, and ultrasound screenings can be considered my passion. I consider both research and teaching to be highly important, as the transfer of knowledge to future generations is a crucial part of our profession.

I like to spend my free time with my daughter and my wife. I enjoy reading, drawing, painting, and if I can make time for it, traveling to discover new places, people, and customs.
