The detailed ultrasound examination of the heart of the fetus (fetal echocardiography) performed by a specialist enables the identification of cardiac developmental disorders as early as the 22nd week of pregnancy with a high diagnostic accuracy. It is also recommended if the routine examination suggests suspected heart failure or any other known risk factors regardless of gestational age. If heart failure suspicion is confirmed, we can prepare and plan delivery accordingly ensuring a calm environment for our patients.
