Diagnostics grabbed my attention during university years. I was blown away by it to be honest. We had to work with various images and figure out what could be the reason behind each case. That was when radiology had me. It is a very complex field which requires knowledge in almost every other fields from anatomy and surgery to acute clinical pictures. It is developing constantly and dynamically, there are always new methods and techniques and we improve with them. This complexity was that attracted me the most.
For me, complex breast diagnostics is a main “cause”. It demands constant learning, I need to keep training and improving myself, specialization is far from the end of the road. Many cases and a lot of practice is needed, and we always have to consider a lot of things because every person is different. Breast diagnostics is my top priority. There are more and more young people suffering from cancer, so I think it would be important to reduce the age limit of screening tests from 40, given that in many cases the disease is not detectable and symptom-free, but with complex breast diagnostics it is detectable with a good chance.
Currently, I am at home with my 2 year old son and I work at several places as an entrepreneur. It is easier because I can manage my time and I don’t lose my knowledge while raising my child and it is relaxing to work sometimes. I am trying to keep the balance between family, work and free-time. I like reading, especially Scandinavian detective novels, and if I have time, I go to do yoga or work out at home. I like filling my time with useful things. Though days are passing by very fast, but I don’t mind.
