Prenatal gymnastics

Exercises help expectant mothers maintain their physical condition and endurance during pregnancy, as well as strengthen muscle groups that are exposed to increased strain, thereby facilitating easier and safer childbirth. This exercise is suitable for alleviating problems and complaints that occur during pregnancy, such as frequent back pain or swollen legs. The various exercises performed in different positions help develop and maintain correct posture, support circulation, strengthen chest and pelvic floor muscles, as well as improve balance and coordination.

Pelvic floor muscle training

This exercise is quite important during pregnancy and after childbirth as well. If the pelvic floor muscles are strong, they can adequately and flexibly support the pelvic organs. It also becomes possible for the expectant mothers to consciously relax the pelvic floor muscles through special exercises, which aid in the lateral stretching of the perineal muscles and the formation of a soft birth canal during childbirth. After childbirth, gymnastics improves the circulation of the perineum and thus the healing of the perineal tear, as well as the regeneration of the pelvic floor muscle, which has been stretched by pregnancy and especially by childbirth.

Postpartum recovery physiotherapy

The posture assumed during breastfeeding and the regular lifting of the baby can put a lot of strain on the back muscles and the spinal column. These exercises aim to correct the posture, in order to avoid back and waist pain, and in the corrected body position, we stabilize through abdominal and back muscle strengthening exercises. Strengthening the abdominal muscles is of paramount importance in the regeneration of the stretched abdominal wall, as a result of pregnancy. We also place great emphasis on increasing the strength of the chest muscles (thereby facilitating proper breastfeeding), as well as strengthening the pelvic floor muscles that were stretched during childbirth. Participation in the exercise is recommended starting the 6th week after childbirth.

Postoperative Recovery Physiotherapy After Gynecological Surgery

Our personalized one-on-one physiotherapy sessions are designed to support a faster recovery, reduce pain, prevent adhesions, and help restore proper posture. The sessions may include:

  • breathing exercises
  • mobilization techniques
  • Kegel exercises to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles
  • activation of core and spinal stabilizing muscles
  • preparation for functional movements

All exercises are tailored to the patient’s current condition. Recovery physiotherapy can begin from the 6th week after surgery, following a medical check-up.

Individual gymnastics

The advantage of this exercise is that we can help achieve the individual person’s goal through personalised exercises, and we can put more emphasis on treating and resolving any current problems.
